This project is funded by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, and will increase market opportunities for smallholder farmers and to respond to the demand of hotels in Port-au-Prince, anchored by IFC’s clients Marriott Hotels, and Codevi Industrial park in Ouanaminthe, which provides meals for its employees and houses cantines for its factory workers. This project will reduce market barriers for Haitian farmers that have the potential to meet part of this market demand currently satisfied through imports.
This Global Affairs Canada-funded project is a five-year maize and bean value chain project managed by Papyrus and its partners, Research Triangle International (RTI), and Alliance for the Management of Risks and Business Continuity (AGERCA). MAIS is also changing the lives of women and youth in rural communities by improving capacity through agricultural education, providing small grants and increasing market access.
Papyrus is the prime implementer of Konbit, a five-year, USAID-funded project that works with local civil society organizations and the private sector to build organizational capacity, encourage collaboration and develop a culture of sharing of best practices, innovation, and results. Konbit – a Haitian Creole term for teamwork – is a key component of USAID’s Local Solutions initiative to influence and achieve significant and sustainable development results in Haiti.
Papyrus has joined forces with Group Croissance and the Haitian Association of Economics Journalists for Sustainable Development (AHJEDD) to publish a bi-monthly magazine on the most pressing and relevant development initiatives underway in Haiti and the region. This broadly read publication features the most up-to-date news and information necessary to keep development stakeholders in the know!

My greatest accomplishment at Papyrus has been to align my skills to a deeper understanding of compliance. This ability is not to be underestimated in this environment of rapid expansion over the past two years in particular.
